Gamecock brings survival horror to the Nintendo DS

While there are tons of strategy RPGs on the DS there are few survival horror games despite the popularity of the survival horror genre. Resident Evil: Deadly Silence comes to mind and some people might consider Touch of the Dead a survival horror game. Besides these two titles there isn’t much for survival horror fans to play on the go. The underrepresented genre on the DS is getting a new addition from Renegade Kid, Dementium: The Ward.

Dementium: The Ward tells the tale of a man who awakens to find himself alone in a mysterious, derelict hospital that is frozen in time. Confronted by the deadly, grotesque surgical experiments that wander the halls, a series of challenging puzzles and a cast of peculiar characters, he must face his deepest fears, unlock the mysteries of the hospital, and escape with his life. A completely new experience on the Nintendo DS, Dementium promises to creep you out with gory visuals and bone-chilling audio that brings the world screaming to life.

Sounds cheerful. This is title brings Gamecock’s Nintendo DS line up to three games. Insecticide is scheduled to come out late this year and Mushroom Men in ’08. Dementium: The Ward doesn’t have any release date, but you can get a sneak peek of the game with the screenshots past the break.
