King of Fighters: Maximum Impact A on the PS2 in July

By Spencer . June 6, 2007 . 7:09am

SNK Playmore announced they are going to release King of Fighters Maximum Impact: Regulation A, a remix of King of Fighters Maximum Impact 2 (aka King of Fighters 2006 in North America) that has the standard three on three fights from the 2D King of Fighters games. A few new characters are added into the roster like Ash Crimson (KOF 2003) and Blue Mary (Fatal Fury 3) plus rebalancing of the game for arcade players. King of Fighters Maximum Impact: Regulation A also has online play so you can always test your skill against another player. It’s coming out in Japan on July 26 and a North American release has not been announced at this time.

I wouldn’t mind if SNK released King of Fighters: Maximum Impact A on the PS2 for the cheap price of $19.99. They’re not exactly done with the PS2 in America, considering they just recently released Art of Fighting Anthology and now plan to bring over Fatal Fury Battle Archives Volume 1.

Maximum Impact A would make for a great addition to their line-up of fighters heading to the PS2, and at a very low bargaining price, is just enough for a 3D fighter that is nothing more than a refinement which plans to balance the formula with the addition of new fan favorites.
