Sony rolling out more “best” games in July

Sony has plans to distribute a new set of budget “the Best” games next month. Ape Escape 3 and Ratchet: Deadlocked, which are already part of the Best collection are getting a reprint and will be sold for 1800 yen ($15), a lower price point than other the Best games. If you’ve been waiting to import Monster Hunter 2, which has no international release it will only run you 3,140 yen ($26) starting July 19. The other notable addition is True Crime: New York City which Activision published in North America. The game passed by with a lackluster response in the USA, but Japan dug it. Go generic urban Grand Theft Auto clones?

Here is the full schedule of budget re-releases coming out starting July 5th:

07.05

Ratchet & Clank 4th: GiriGiri Ginga no Giga Battle

Ape Escape 3

Jeanne d’Arc

07.12

Disgaea 2

True Crime: New York City

Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection

07.19

07.26

On the 21st of this month (don’t hold me to this date), I believe SNK is releasing a “the Best” version of Garou: Mark of the Wolves. I’m definitely planning to pick it up. Should tide me over until some announcements are made concerning King of Fighters XII
