Persona: Bejeweled Edition

Here is a tie in that I never saw coming Shin Megami Tensei: Chaining Soul Persona 3, a match three puzzle game with characters from Persona 3. It is pretty similar to Bejeweled with the addition of special attack meters that gain energy when you match colored jewels. When you beat challenges in normal mode you unlock Persona 3 wallpaper for your mobile phone, a really neat idea that more mobile games should take advantage of.

Wait a minute… is this a mini-game inside Person 3 or is a full blown cell phone game for download on major US carriers (i.e. Cingular)?

Full cell phone game… but it’s for Japan only as of now. Sorry!

Remind me to thank Atlus for shitting up the P3 boxart. What was wrong with the Japanese version?

When I first read the description, I thought it was going to have RPG elements to it like Puzzle Quest. It would be awesome if they made a Persona 3 type puzzle-rpg game like that.

I think the new box art’s fine. It’s not, like, Fatal Frame horrendous or anything.

Probably redid it and added the SMT seal for advertising/commercial purposes.
