Soul Calibur 4 in 2008

By Spencer . June 13, 2007 . 1:39am

Namco Bandai announced that Soul Calibur 4 is in development (shocking!) and that it will be released sometime next year. Unlike Soul Calibur 3, which was a Playstation 2 exclusive, Soul Calibur 4 will be a multiplatform game for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The teaser hints that this may be the final game in the Soul Calibur series… maybe…. it probably depends how profitable Soul Calibur 4 is.

While not nearly as good as actually seeing the game in action, Mitsturugi and Ivy look extremely detailed. If that’s any indication of Soul Calibur 4’s presentation, then this game will look breath-taking and will be a real feast on the eyes.

Not much is actually shown or known for the game as of yet, but there’s enough here to get me excited for Soul Calibur 4. With Soul Calibur Legend’s announcement on the Wii, I knew it was only a matter of time before Soul Calibur 4 followed suite on the 360/PS3.
