Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection goes online… for a price

tekken5on.jpgNamco Bandai announced they are going to release an expansion pack for the PS3 release of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection and it contains what Tekken fans have been waiting for, online play. There are two other modes included in the package survival and practice. While this could have been released as a free upgrade, Namco Bandai is selling the expansion pack for 1,000 yen ($8). It isn’t an unreasonable amount of money since Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection greatly increases the game’s replay value, but I can understand that some gamers probably feel online play should have been included in the first place. For better or worse the future is going to be full of microtransactions.
