A look at From Software’s sticker collection “game”

Since it was announced I’ve been following the news about From Software’s Bikkuriman Encyclopedia. Mainly because From Software has been silent about how they plan to transition collecting stickers from Lotte chocolate into a Nintendo DS title. While it is an encyclopedia you can’t freely browse through the hundreds of Bikkuriman stickers in the game, you have to collect them first.  Players earn points by answering Bikkuriman trivia and they can spend these points to purchase packs with stickers. Similar to the real life, you don’t know what stickers you are going to get and you can trade doubles with friends wirelessly. I imagine From Software’s game could have trapped players in a small town where they had to play mini games like doing the laundry to earn stickers, but that would probably be too realistic. Go obscure trivia?

Also Game Watch has a batch of screenshots from Bikkuriman Encyclopedia to check out.
