Sony Computer Entertainment announced a sizable list of PsOne downloadable games this week. Classic versions of the King of Fighters and Samurai Showdown III are bargains at 600 yen a piece ($5). Also on the list are more simulation RPGs from Idea Factory and some of Sony’s obscure games like Depth (never heard of this one!).
Here are the games available as of today:
Oasis Road
Spectral Towers 2
Gussun Paradise (aka Yoyo's Puzzle Park in Europe)
The King of Fighters Kyo
The King of Fighters '98
The King of Fighters '99
Blades of Blood: Samurai Showdown III
Samurai Spirits IV: Amakusa Kourin Special
Metal Slug
SuperLite 1500 Series: Cotton Original
SuperLite 1500 Series: Sanvein
Depth
Jumping Flash 2
XI (sai) (known as Devil Dice in the USA)
Jet Moto
Panekit
AI Mah Jong Selection
Zipangu Jima: Unmei wa Saikoro ga Kimeru!?
Puzzle Mania 2
Sony has yet to capitalize on releasing a swarm of budget PsOne games over the Playstation Store outside of Japan. There are plenty of first party games they could release like Intelligent Qube and other installments in the Twisted Metal series. Also there’s space for obscure classics like Einhander. People would buy Einhander for $5 or even $10!
Samurai Shodown! Thats such an awesome game. I still play my friends when they come over. Although, with the Copa America going on, I haven’t gotten around the gaming lately. Go USA.
