Hands on Namco Museum Remix

Galaga Remix is a brilliant addition and to the Namco Music Remix where Pac-Man rolls on a tube in outer space. Little does Pac-Man know he just arrived in the Galaga universe. Using the Wii remote as a gun, you shoot the flying insect-like aliens to protect Pac-Man. Sometimes they fly straight towards you, other times they arrange in rows, similar to the original arcade game or Space Invaders. To keep Pac-Man safe on the track you occasionally need to make him jump by flicking the analog stick up.

While Galaga Remix was a blast, Rally-X was so-so. All you do is move Pac-Man’s car with the analog stick and press on buttons to speed up. Rally-X was way too basic, but I was glad Namco Bandai didn’t slap on slipshod motion control where you wave the remote left or right to turn Pac-Man’s car.

Since only two of the games were playable, it wouldn’t be fair to make any final judgment on Namco Museum Remix except that I liked Galaga.
