Mega Man makes a cameo in Lost Planet images

Capcom has a sweet and free treat for everyone that picked up Lost Planet: Extreme Condition for the PC. On July 20^th there is a patch that includes three new characters: Frank West from Dead Rising, Joe from Lost Planet and a strange looking adult Mega Man. The patch also adds in new view modes like the over the shoulder camera from Resident Evil 4. On the same day the patch comes out Capcom has a free 400MB download with four extra maps: Radar Field, Island 02, Hive Complex and Trial Point.

The same four maps will be free for Xbox 360 owners too. You can get them by selecting Map Pack #1 and Map Pack #2 on the Xbox Live Marketplace beginning July 20^th. However, you won’t get to play as Mega Man with a behind the shoulder camera. That is for PC owners only.

It's a great tie-in, I wondered when Capcom would finally make a connection between Dead Rising and Lost Planet, considering both games were helmed by the same developer, Keiji Inafune. Known worldwide as the famed character designer for Mega Man. And just time in time for his 20th anniversary, no less.
