Dragon Quest Swords sells big

dqsbox1.jpgLast week Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors was the number one selling game in Japan with over 350,000 units sold. This shouldn’t be much of a surprise since Dragon Quest games typically sell well, Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker sold one million units and like Swords it is a spinoff too. While Dragon Quest Swords was not playable at E3, I have a copy of it and Siliconera is going to have hands on coverage of it in the near future. Until then check out pictures of the packaging and the disc art past the break.

I can’t wait for this game! I was tempted to get a second Wii by getting the Jpn machine (during the Play-Asia sale last week), to play this game, Hajime no Ippo and some others, but refrained from blowing so much money (saving for Crisis Core, Phoenix Wright 3, etc).. also kind of a silly idea to have 2 Wiis, I would turn them both on w/ the remote. These chars would make great figures too.

I know the game looks good, pls let us know if it’s fun :)

Still can’t believe that no Boot Disk is available so far for us to play imports.

It’s a shame. I’d import this if a free-loader disc was available. Too bad we have to wait until 2008.

This game looks like Phantasy Star on crack, I’m all there.
