Since Siliconera is a site for gamers regardless of region it is about time we have a contest for our European readers. I’m holding two copies of Big Brain Academy for Wii thanks to Nintendo of Europe to give away to people with PAL Wiis. To enter the contest, send an e-mail to siliconera@gmail.com and write about a game in Europe that we don’t have over in North America. I’m going to sift through the entries and pick out two interesting ones to post up on Siliconera. Each of the authors will net a PAL copy of Big Brain Academy for Wii. The contest ends on July 23rd 12AM PST, so get writing! Official rules are past the break.

Official Rules:

The European Contest: Win Big Brain Academy for Wii giveaway will run from July 16, 2007 to July, 23 2007. One winner per household and this contest is open to the world. However, you will receive a PAL encoded copy of Big Brain Academy for Wii, which only works on PAL Wii consoles. Please allow up to three weeks for delivery. Siliconera reserves all rights to make final decisions about the contest and is not responsible for lost e-mails.

you guys do realize you are asking something impossible right?
europe is famous for NOT getting games,it would be more easier if you asked pal gamer (those who import) to describe a game that got released in america but not europe
  • Mikael
    well its not impossible Magus..
think of independent games by european publishers,or some old snes game which came to Europe but the US because of sensorship..
ive got nothing to offer though :P that i dont think is unknown to siliconera guys from before...
  • There are plenty of games that Europe has that the US doesn't. Look at what 505 has, Doshin the Giant and Harvest Moon: Magical Melody for the Wii pop in my mind. I'm sure there are others too and it doesn't have to be something I don't know.

    They can Write about:

    Terranigma
The Dragon Ball Z games for SNES
The PS2 version of Sonic Gems Collection
    Police Madness for PS2
    Devil World for NES

and that's all I can think of lol.

It's pretty hard, I mean usually WE get games that Europe doesn't. (Dragon Quest 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, Dragon Quest Heroes Rocket Slime, Etrian Odyssey, Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy 1, 4 and 6 for NES and SNES) Man, the list is endless
  • Only the 360 games are still region locked, so it's not a huge deal this gen.
Or at least it shouldn't be.
