Watch: How to play Victorious Boxers Revolution

As we mentioned way back at E3, XSeed Games is going to bring Hajime no Ippo Revolution out in North America. It’s a motion controlled boxing game, but it looks more technical than Wii Sports. This video gives a demonstration of how it plays and what kinds of different punches you can do with motion control. Not sold on the whole waggle bit? Victorious Boxers Revolution supports the classic controller too.

this video was fun to watch. however, it must be stressed that we do want 1-to-1 control. anyway, i like the fresh look and subject matter to some of the more recent posts. it seems pretty thoughtful. i appreciate it.

This game is out in Japan already? Are there any Japan reviews on this? I’m very excited about this game and would like to see some real world reviews on this. I’m a bit skeptical about the boxers finding this game as responsive as real life! If it is then I really must have this game!

JKTrix Says:

Ippo Revolution got a total score of 25 from Famitsu, which is pretty average. CheapyD from Cheap A** Game, who lives in Japan, bought it and didn’t like it very much.

Depending when it comes out, I might buy it. I am an Ippo fan.

I was actually having high hopes since pro and semi-pro boxers were generally positive about the control, it seems like Wii sports but more sophiscated. If this game is as good as it seems, it’s going to be a real work out. And still no freeloader…
