wildarms.jpgIt’s near the end of the month and Sony updated the Playstation Store in Japan with 14 new titles. There are a few first party games on the list like the RPG Bealphareth and Tiny Bullets. However, the notable additions are series starters like King’s Field, Armored Core and Wild ARMs. Each game clocks in at 600 yen ($5), which is not a bad deal to try out the lost sequel in the Jumping Flash series, Robbit Mon Dieu.

Here is the complete list:

Boxer's Road

Chippoke Ralph no Daibouken: The Adventure of Little Ralph

SuperLite 1500 Series Chiki Chiki Rakin

Memorial * Series: Sunsoft Vol.1

Tiny Bullets

Twisted Metal EX

Destruction Derby

Bealphareth

Robbit Mon Dieu

Wild ARMs

AI Shogi Selection

Famires The: Shijou Saikyou no Menu

Armored Core

King's Field

Vampir: Kyuuketsuki Densetsu* (now playable the PS3 too)

As usual, a nice showcasing of quality Playstation titles up for download in Japan.

And yet, overseas in America, we’re stuck with a meager selection of PSX games to choose from. Really, Sony needs to put a little more incentive into actually using PSN for what many people were looking forward to: downloading their favorite Playstation releases from year’s past.

It’s unacceptable that the only recent Playstation game up for download is Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, as good of a game that is this simply isn’t enough to make up for the lack of titles as of late to download on the Playstation Store. Not too similar to Japan, Sony needs to make it a priority during updates to at least have 14 games available for download in PSN.
