XSeed Games sent over an official e-mail announcing Victorious Boxers Revolution and its fall 2007 release window. There are three ways you can play Victorious Boxers Revolution on the Wii:
Classic Controller Mode where you press buttons to punch.
Pointer Mode lets you use the remote only and smaller movements to deal blows.
Swing Mode has players execute punches as if they were wearing boxing gloves.
I’m eagerly anticipating swing mode, but it’s good to know there are other options when you want to relax on your couch while following Ippo Makunouchi’s story.
I loved this game on the PS2… I’m still not sure why my roommate at the time bought it but we played it a ton!
I never played the PS2 games, but I’ve heard good things about them. Perhaps I’ll get this version when it comes out. It is comforting to know that it supports the classic controller because I seriously doubt that the motion controls are going to work very well. It’ll be fun to try out though.
I don’t know about the game, I dig the concept.
But an uppercut is the same in the whole world, a hook that goes down to up (It uses to hit the base of the jab), just like this.

I’m guessing that this isn’t going to work too well. How’s a game supposed to tell what an uppercut is when no two people in the world throw it exactly the same?
Plus, it kind of looks exactly like the PS2 version.
