Watch: Final Fantasy Tactics: The War Lions trailer (now with voice acting!)

By Spencer . August 2, 2007 . 2:08pm

Square-Enix is adding a nice touch to Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions by adding in voice acting for the cutscenes. Way back at E3 I got to catch a trailer reel and hear Ramza’s voice for the first time and now you can too. This clip is from a cutscene at Orbonne Monastery, way at the beginning of the game where four of the main characters speak. What do you think? Did Delita’s voice live up to your expectations?

Hmm…interesting. I had always imagined Ramza and Delita having a more younger voice, though I’ll probably get used to them when the game is out. As for Agrias, I’m not liking her voice at all.

I haven’t played it in a long time, so I can’t say about the voices, but that movie was pretty flippin’ sweet. Seems to capture the atmosphere well, even without Matsuno.

I didn’t imagine them having British accents.

When I saw the clip, I figured, “Eh, it couldn’t be that bad. I never really imagined them having voices to begin with.”

Now I feel like, “Well, I don’t know what they should sound like, but they shouldn’t sound like THAT.”

They sound quite well done to me. Ramza does sound like he comes from a noble family, as a stark contrast to Delita’s common origin. I’d have to hear more to be sure about them, though.

I liked Agrias the most, very well done to her character.

Wow! I really liked the voices, Delita sounded the best to me. xD

This game is just looking better and better… And think, they couldnt do anything like this with Tatics Advance.

Again it proves my point that the original was the best :)

I like the extra voice-over, but is that real or pretend British English? If they can’t do a good old English, they should just sound natural by using American accent. Despite the voices taking some getting used to, this adds tons to the quiet scene.

  • Hello Hello

I really like how super British they made it.
