I guess that's good for sony in the sense that I'm not wedded to the PS3 having backward compatibility but it is bad for sony in the sense that lack of backward compatibility is another $100 off the price of the PS3 that needs to come off before I will even remotely considering buying one (and likely another $100 off that before I'll actually buy one...ie, $300) Given Sony’s tone of “SIXAXIS is the future”, I’ve decided that I’m just going to keep my PS2 around until the end of time just so I can have rumble.
