A look at ASH’s battle system

Refreshingly different, Archaic Sealed Heat (ASH) goes for hybrid combat system that blends tactics from strategy RPGs with your run-of-the-mill, turn based RPG combat. You begin on the field where your team of three characters share action points (AP). Since action points are split between the team you have to choose if you want to spend all of them on actions with Aisya or if it is better to evenly distribute them to move the entire party. When you move into an encounter ASH switches to a two screen format where the enemies are on the top and your characters are on the bottom. Then you can select commands like fight, run and skills through familiar RPG menus.

ASH also has some kind of job system built into it where characters can switch between being a white mage, black mage, itemer, battler, stealer and two additional jobs. Hmm… I wonder what those other two jobs are going to be.
