Landstalker coming to the virtual console “soon” images

Sega sent over an e-mail confirming what the ESRB let us know early: Shinobi III and Landstalker are coming to the virtual console. Usually, when Sega sends over these notes the games appear within a month. I wonder if this will be the spark to ignite Climax to develop more stalkers games. After Time Stalkers was panned it seemed like the series was going to disappear forever.

Particularly Landstalker on the PSP. Simply put, it was one of the reasons I even wanted Sony's handheld in the first place, and nothing would please me more than to see Climax finish that game's development cycle and ship it to stores internationally so I can get my hands on that title.

But for now, the original Landstalker on the Genesis will do fine for me. I'm looking forward to buying it on the Virtual Console and reliving some good, past memories of working my way through the title's epic quest.
