Motion control comes to the PS2, bowling included

In2Games is no stranger to the world of motion controlled video games. A year before Nintendo unveiled the Wii they already had Real World Golf out for the Xbox and Playstation 2. Now that motion control is hip, In2Games is prepping a buffet of motion controlled Playstation 2 games set to come out in Europe this holiday season. The Realpay series has the basics: golf, bowling, racing, tennis and pool, each bundled with a cheap looking plastic controller.

Looking over their list one game stands out, Realplay Puzzlesphere. On the surface it looks like a Super Monkey Ball clone and it might be. However, the controller is a physical ball. That means they could add in a new dimension of control, spin control. I don’t want to get myself too hyped for this, but they are placing the ball in your hand to control it. If they wanted players to tilt the world like Super Monkey Ball they would give players a shoddy plastic stick or something.

See pictures of the games and the other controllers past the break.

kinda lame, they're just tackling games already done on the Wii with specifical controllers that are no better than Wiimote, seems a lot more gimmick and less versatile.

Still, I guess they'll make a pretty penny considering we know Wii's are gonna be running on low supplies this christmas.
