No brainer, Cranium comes to the Wii

Watch out Big Brain Academy, a competitor is about to step into the party puzzler ring. Ubisoft announced they have an agreement with Cranium who makes the series of hands-on games found next to the coffee mugs at Starbucks. Cranium Kabookii is already well into development since it is slated to come out worldwide on the Wii in December.

While Cranium seems like a natural fit for the Wii I don't think Ubisoft is going to translate the board game. You can't bring Star Performer's charades and Creative Cat’s Sculptorades where you mold a clue out of clay into a video game. I bet Cranium Kabookii is going to be a collection of mini games with familiar characters like Data Head and Word Worm.

  • I’m excited about this! I remember playing Cranium with friends in college. I don’t remember much because we were always drinking while we played, but I think it was fun.

It’s from UbiSoft Montreal, so it better be good or it will insult our province :P

  • I hope this is good too, but the best memories I have of Cranium are playing with the clay and doing drunken charades. I can’t imagine any of those things will translate well on the Wii. Some how drinking doesn’t make Word Worm’s anagrams more fun :(.
