At their Leizpig press conference Sony Computer Entertainment Europe rolled out a number of new features coming to the PSP. They partnered with BT (not the musician, British Telecom) to allow PSP owners to send IMs, video messages and chat through Go!Messenger. With Go!Explore and the GPS receiver the PSP draws 3D maps, gives directions and highlights gas stations. Finally, Go!(name not finalized video download service) lets PSP owners in the UK and Ireland download programs from Sky TV’s library. Most of these services are set to come out early next year, Go!Explore is coming out this holiday season. None of these have been announced for North America, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Sony roll out some of these in North America in the future.

Europe also gets two new PSP slim colors: Simpsons Yellow and Spiderman Red. This means each region, except Korea, is going to unique PSP slim systems. Japan gets a Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII PSP Slim and the North America gets a Star Wars themed model.
