Earlier this year Lost Regnum slipped into stores in Japan with little attention. After a lackluster welcome it didn’t look like any company was going to pick it up and localize it. But here we are with Mercury Games in Europe who picked up the rights to it and gave it a new title, Warriors of the Lost Empire. There is no word about a US release, but you can always import it if you are desperate for another portable, dungeon crawling, action RPG.

Ertain must be rolling in money now. First their Zen series gets picked up for international distribution and now this. Not bad at all for a small developer with rather obscure titles.

Edit: Hey JeremyR thanks for the GameFAQs tip! It looks like "Tommo" is lined up as a distributor. On further investigation Warriors of the Lost Empire may be coming to the USA too care of UFO Interactive. Wow, UFO Interactive is in the news a lot now a days. I wonder who is handling the localization….

FWIW, Gamefaqs lists “Tommo” of the US publisher. Who is actually just a distributor, but it could be one of their clients, like Agetech, who is actually picking it up.

Ertain already released Lost Regnum in Asia with Language support for Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and English. It was released shortly after the Japanese release.
