Hey Siliconera and GoNintendo faithful! Spencer here and we’re opening up a Mega Man Star Force competition with Capcom’s help. We have a bunch of fabulous prizes to give away in three prize packs:
Grand Prize gets a signed t-shirt from Inafune-san, the creator of Mega Man and three copies of Mega Man Star Force.
Second Place gets three copies of Mega Man Star Force.
Third Place gets a copy of Mega Man Star Force.
All you need to do to enter is submit a concept for a Mega Man robot master to megamansfcontest@gmail.com. You can draw it by hand, paint it on a canvas, make it in Photoshop, stick macaroni pieces on paper or build it from legos. Whatever you want to do to make your robot master is A-OK for this contest as long as you get your entry in by September 8, 2007. Over that weekend RawMeatCowboy and I are going to sift through the entries and pull out six semi-finalists. Then the following week beginning on September 10 to September 15 you get to vote on who wins the prizes. The person with the most votes gets the grand prize plus internet fame, second most votes gets second place and I think third place is self-explanatory.
In case you didn’t get all of that here is the four step program to enter:
1.) Create a Mega Man boss monster and e-mail the design to megamansfcontest@gmail.com before September 8, 2007. You do not need to include your mailing address in this e-mail, a screen name and design are good enough.
2.) Come back on September 10, 2007 to see if you entry was picked as one of the six semi-finalists.
3.) Vote on your favorite entry
4.) See who wins on September 15, 2007!
Official Rules
This contest is restricted to North America only. Semi-finalist entries and selected entries may be featured. The Mega Man Robot Master contest ends on September 15, 2007. Please allow up to six weeks for prize delivery. We are not responsible for lost entries and Siliconera reserves the right to make final decisions about the contest.
mmm what happened to the last contest “talk about european game that didn’t reach the us?”
@Magus - it was an utter failure. Ten people entered, dozens complained. So the prizes were mailed out and that was the end of it. I was hoping to spark discussion, but most of the entries were either not well researched or flat out wrong. Compared to the Puzzle Quest and Naruto contests, it was a disappointing experiment. Anyways this contest is generously sponsored by Capcom USA so they have a hand in it, unlike the Big Brain Academy PAL contest, which I sponsored completely for the European readers.
Sounds like alot of fun! I’m definatly in… I want that shirt!!! :P
i’m sure there are crazed megaman fans etching a likeness of him out of a giant pillar of marble ore something….

doesn’t have to be colored, black and white, drawn with chalk whatever is fine by me
Do they mean Robot Masters or FMs? Because we’re talking about Star Force, I asked this question because the bosses in Star Force are FMs.
Hmm… I believe that FMs take a physical(with mass) form if they fuse with humans or when the technology advanced and they could copy the human body. So i guess that means FM fused with Human
wow, doesnt anyone have homework these days?
