Majesco picks up Ecolis, now named Eco Creatures

It’s been a few weeks since Ecolis came out in Japan and Majesco has plans to bring it to North America in early 2008. The new title for the game is Eco Creatures: Save the Forest, but their localization keeps the same critters (Ecolis, Ecoby and Ecomon) that you use to protect the Mana Woods from polluting robots. Eco Creatures: Save the Forest is a real time strategy game where you use the stylus to select and command the creatures in combat. To increase replay value Eco Creatures: Save the Forest has a map maker mode and Nintendo Wi-Fi play.

 

The announcement comes at a perfect time for Siliconera HQ because I’ve been playing Ecolis over the weekend. It arrived with a copy of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates so look forward to some coverage soon.
