Arc System Works is bringing Shikigami no Shiro 3 (Castle of Shikigami 3) from arcades to consoles on December 13. Besides not eating your yen, Shikigami no Shiro 3 has a few bonus features. You can view art in the gallery mode and upload your score to the Xbox Live leaderboard. Unfortunately, the Wii version does not have leaderboards. Surprisingly, Arc System Works is only bringing Shikigami no Shiro 3 to the Wii and the Xbox 360. Shikigami no Shiro 3 could have been a downloadable PS3 game or a retail Playstation 2 title, but it’s not going to appear on any Sony console this winter.
@Nick - Yeah the English version was horrendous. I wouldn’t be surprised if it ruined the series for many people. But as far as bullet hell shooters go Shikigami no Shiro is up there.
Oh man, I hope the Wii version will be released in North America. You wouldn’t know any of that, would you?
@CrimeXThink - it’s too early to determine that for certain, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it! When I get some concrete details I’ll post them up.
i loved the first game in the series, but i skipped out on the 2nd and 3rd. i’d love a chance to get back in on it. sign me up.
If they aren’t going to do a PS3 release (which makes like, zero sense), at least can they please ensure the 360 release is region free. A shoot em up is going to sell nothing on the 360 regardless, at least do your best to increase what little chance it has.
Isn’t there already a PC version of this?
I just feel like I might have seen something like that.
Of course, this would be the first console version, but it wouldn’t be the first home version if that’s the case.

Oh well. The second one was laughably bad, particularly the horrid english translation that, for some reason, merited piss-poor voice overs. It ended up making absolutely zero sense, but the different attacks were neat enough. Still, I prefer my classic Genesis game “Truxton” to this. Or any Gradius/R-Type… just me though =)
