Inside Infinite Undiscovery’s battle system

Since this is a Tri-Ace game it should come as no surprise that Infinite Undiscovery has a real time combat system. However, you don’t shift into battle mode like in Star Ocean 3. All the action, exploration and combat takes place on the field.

Infinite Undiscovery also has situational battles where you fight in a dynamic environment. In one battle an ogre is chasing you down and the environment changes in real time when you react to the ogre. Another fight has players surrounded by gigantic tidal waves. This system sounds like it has potential to offer something new, if Tri-Ace extends the situational battle system beyond boss fights.

    please please please!!
    port this to ps3!!! >

  • sinergy

I’d be surprised if it doesn’t end up on the PS3.

  • JKTrix

I’d be very surprised if it did. It’s being published by Microsoft with Square-enix, meaning Microsoft owns the rights.

Square Enix and Sony have enough stuff with Final Fantasy, and they’ll be sharing Last Remnant. PS3 is fine with RPGs, 360 desperately needs some good ones.

  • DoDee2Doo

Actually,Xbox 360 has quite a number of RPGs from all over the planet on the way right now.

  • Pedro Silva

It won’t end in PS3, because this is a moneyhatted project; moneyhatted by Microsoft no less.

And I despise these; although it looks good.

  • Chris

I’m still waiting for the official announcement that it will in fact come out in the US.

  • Pedro Silva

^ Oh, it will, don’t worry.

  • It has to… No one in Japan has a 360.
