There are radom ability items that can be found throughout the world (little flashy areas). one of them gives you the ability to cast double magic another increases the amount of gil you get after a battle. In this remake EVERYTHING is amazingly harder. this is the hardest FF game I have played (te only ff game I have yet to beat is the ff tactics 2 and some of the early ff games on gameboy) it is actually hard to get these extra abilities too. You can give them to anybody though, even the people that leave your party. The reward for giving a person who leaves your party an ability or two is better abilities when that charater leaves the party! like the twins give you double magic and tellah gives you a few things one of them cuts spell casting time!

if you really want to know, I am playing the game right now in japanese. I don't know how useful it will be but it could potentially be useful. And if you don't like it, you can just over look it. It just doesn’t make any sense to me to have someone other then twins learn twin magic. Then don't learn it! It's an optional feature. Heck, it will probably just be a gimmick that really won't be that helpful to anything (Cecil with Sing? lol, useless).

> Don’t like it really. What would be the point of giving one of the characters one of those abilities if you could just put them in your party later. I don't think we'll be taking those people with us to the last battle....hope I'm wrong.

Seeing this makes me think we won’t have the ability to switch out characters at the end like FFIV Advance.
