AtomDragon Quest Monsters: Joker coming in November
November 6, 2007 to be exact. If you want the map/screen cleaner/DS charm you have to pre-order it at Gamestop, GameCrazy or Amazon. The game was a mega hit in Japan, it sold over a million copies. However, it doesn’t feel like North America is buzzing about the game much. Is anyone excited about a cel-shaded Dragon Quest spinoff on the DS?

With nothing but praise surrounding Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker during its launch day in Japan, and from those who imported the title, I know I’m looking forward to this game. Although naturally the sales figures won’t even begin to match copies sold in Japan, (considering Dragon Quest is much more popular over there compared to North America) hopefully, like DQ VIII and DQ Heroes: Rocket Slime before it on the PS2 and DS respectively, DQM: J sells well enough to net us the DQ IV, V, and VI remakes on the DS in the States as a future release.

Really? Amazon will have the preorder bonus too? It doesn’t mention it on the page for it anywhere.

@rainking187- Square-Enix says so “Additionally, Square Enix, Inc. announced a special pre-order incentive at select retailers. Fans who pre-order a copy of DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: Joker at Amazon.com, EBGames/GameStop, EBGames Canada and GameCrazy will receive an exclusive Green Bays Map Screen Wipe.”

need to import this,hmmm i dont get why they couldnt release slime hero in europe..
but either ways US version will be mine 
eventually…
btw spencer do you have any future covering tingles european release? i got the game yesterday..and im very curious how fans have been supporting tingles own adventure..

@Mikael - I covered the Japanese version awhile ago and I don’t think I’ll be picking up the European one. Sorry!

look before we all start dissing the game take a look back to its roots 1st of this game is not a spin off it could be the end to a trillogy lets take a look back to its roots dragon warrior was selling huge then came the poke mon jauggernaut so then enix realeased dragon warrior monsters in dec of 2000 but pokemon kept growing (duh) so enix realeased dragon warrior monsters 2: colbis journey and dragon warrior monsters 2: taras adventure both featuring seperate endings and monsters tameable if you just cant wait for joker pick up one of these games (get the first one unless u have it its simpler) at amazon.com or ebay there was a third game realeased in japan to this series but never ported to america and japan loved these games thats why joker did so well. Both of these games are awsome pick em up if you can there for game boy color.
