Smash Brothers Brawl goes online

ssmbonline.jpgAlright! The box art rumor was right, Super Smash Brothers Brawl is going to have online play. You can enter in friend codes and beat up your buddies with Donkey Kong or you can jump into random matches through Nintendo Wi-Fi. Right now only free for all has been confirmed, but there will be "other modes".

Since Super Smash Brothers Brawl won't support voice chat players talk smack by saving pre-set taunts. Once the phrases are stored you can press the directional buttons to express your disdain when you're getting hit or gloat after knocking three people out of the arena with the hammer.

I’m not too happy how they planned the Wi-Fi modes out thought. I think a Mario Kart DS like approach with region matches and being able to see whom your fighting would have been more than welcomed. I guess having 64 friends will do.

deal with it wimp, and be happy they did it at all.

Mistermee Says:

Yeah, I’m just glad that I can kick my friend’s a** from across the country now, instead of having to meet up with him while he’s in town.
