@Nightcap – yeah there were samples of music, but between the person blaring out of a loudspeaker to come play the game, the tiny headphones and being partially deaf from listening to my MP3 player at full blast (I kid!) I couldn’t hear too well. Honestly, there were so many distractions I could barely make out Cain’s deep voice.

Poor gilbert, i dont know why hes so disliked. Every person helps the team in their own way, one of the reasons IV was the best. Without gilbert how would the team have made it past the Dark elf? As far as the demo, did it give you any samples for the music? I hope they keep it close to the original.

Anyway, Thanks for keeping us up to date, checking siliconera is part of my daily routine!

Uhhh…Spencer, what exactly motivated you to give such a plot point away?

For people who have played FF4 and know Edward never died, that could have been an incredibly shocking scene.

Well….first and foremost, this is a demo, no doubt made to show off various new additions, so it may or may not be final.

But the producer/scenarioist has stated that the story presented in FF4SNES was only a fraction of the story, so changes like these, if actually made, would be made to better fit the story as a whole.

(At least Gilbert/Edward wasn’t every really useful anyways.)

I have to say I’ve been around to other sites with FFIV impressions and this is the most detailed and informative impressions I’ve seen. Good job! So excited to play this.
