Yeah, this really does feel refreshing, like Viewtiful Joe. It’s so tongue-in-cheek too w/ the char being an American otaku, the references like the “jidaigeki” (period dramas) above would be so funny

Actually, I’d say the praise should be going toward Grasshopper Manufacture for No More Heroes. They’re the ones actually developing the title, while Marvelous is simply acting as co-publisher together with Spike for Japan (and Ubisoft for North America, who deserve props for bringing this game over to the States).

Marvelous is probably one of the best third party developers on the Wii now, kudos for this (and shame the other developers don’t follow suit)

Oh yeah! Now this is the kind of thing I’d like to see more of on the Wii. It looks like the sword play doesn’t get stale and there enough action & movement to avoid feeling stale. I await in full anticipation.
