Blue Dragon invades McDonalds images

Mistwalker’s Blue Dragon is everywhere. It’s in the US, it’s coming to the DS and now it’s appearing alongside Ronald McDonald. Beginning tomorrow you can get one of five Blue Dragon cards that come with the Japanese equivalent of a Happy Meal. Imagine getting a shrimp burger, a 100 yen McPork and a Shu card. Mistwalker must be “lovin’ it”.

Speaking of Mistawalker, Archaic Sealed Heat just arrived in Japan. I thought about braving the lines to get an early morning copy, but instead I’ll let Roli play the game while I attempt to start Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates.

Blue Dragon is actually an ongoing animation they have in Japan; not sure if it is still airing though. McDonald's campaign is in no way connected to that horrible Xbox 360 game. When kids see those happy meals, they think of the animation, not that white and green foreign piece of fail.

The anime is still airing and is half way done (just saw ep 26 this week). I don't know if this show has good ratings in Jpn and is popular among kids. I like the game much more than the cartoon, I'm just watching it because I like Toriyama's drawing style, which is always recognizable due to DBZ and Dragon Quest.
