The return of Ryu Ga Gotoku rocks

rgg3.jpgI’m glad Sega isn’t canning the Ryu Ga Gotoku series because Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan looks awesome. The Tokyo Game Show trailer just popped online and you should check it out if you’re a fan of adventure games. Click on to the official site, then to movie and it should be the first thing you see. In feudal Japan you’ll get to ride horses, gamble on dice, visit geisha houses and race turtles. Quite a diverse selection in there right?

I just hope Sega opts to leave in the original Japanese language track for Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan when it inevitably comes to North America. It’s not that the English soundtrack in Yakuza (the US version of Ryu Ga Gotoku) was bad. It was awkward, like seeing a Western flick in Japanese awkward.

Looks awesome w/ Miyamoto Musashi and all. The new setting might be cool since I didn’t have to play the first two games first.

Actually the adventure part reminds me of Shenmue where you just walk around in a huge city, also the mini-games seem like Mystical Ninja’s, except more sophisticated. Hope it’d be fun.
