There had to be a reason why Sony chose November 11 as the date to release the 40GB Playstation 3 and the Dual Shock 3. It turns out that it is the same date Koei is releasing Shin Sangoku Musou 5 (read: Dynasty Warriors 6) in Japan. If you don’t have a Playstation 3 Koei might have the package for you, if you don’t care about PS2 compatibility. For 49,980 yen ($426) you can get a ceramic white 40GB Playstation 3, Shin Sangoku Musou 5, nine metallic tags with faces of the generals, some stickers and a character/map book.
I don’t want to pour cold water on the Playstation’s parade, but Shin Sangoku Musou 5 is coming out on the same day for the Xbox 360. Koei has not done this in Japan with any of the main games in the Shin Sangoku Musou or Sengoku Musou series. Typically the Playstation 2 had a comfortable period of exclusivity, but not this time around.
