Nintendo quietly announces a suite of DS RPGs

In between all of the news about Sonic being in Brawl, WiiFit’s release date and the WiiWare games a bunch of DS games got lost in the mix. We mentioned Fire Emblem DS, but that isn’t the only RPG coming out of Nintendo’s doors.

In December, Nintendo is going to release Kousoku Card Battle Card Hero.

Then in 2008 we have…

Fire Emblem

Elemental Chronicle (Temporary name)

Soma Bringer

Also it's not an RPG, but worth mentioning that Nintendo is planning a new Kirby game on the DS.

    Wow @ all of these.

  • I’m looking forward to all of these :D.

  • Dr. Slump

Any new Fire Emblem is good.

  • Kidpanda

Well all of them look interesting, and I especially look forward to the new Kirby game, but they need to be a little more difficult. Fire Emblem should be a glory to play just with the tuned difficulty “)

  • I was wondering when Nintendo would release a DS Fire Emblem, too bad it looks like an other reedition of the first FE game (if I read correctly that’s Marth). And the pre-rendereed sprites look rubbish.

    Kousoku Card Battle Card Hero?

Is Intelligent Systems/Nintendo reviving the old Card Hero franchise (last one was on the GBC), or is that an entirely new IP?

  • DS is like a window into Japanese gaming.

It’s like you switch it on and walk into Akihabara.

  • Awesome set of games here. Fire Emblem looks much more impressive than what I previously expected.
