The grittier sequel to Advance Wars: Dual Strike is coming sooner than you think. Nintendo of America has is slated for January 21, 2008. Not bad timing, at all for a game that has been barely touched by the media.

So this is where the Weblogs, Inc. bloggers get their articles. And I thought these giant blogs don’t regurgitate their content.

Haven’t gotten into Advanced Wars.. but the art here reminds me a little of 360’s Operation Darkness, which I can’t wait to play.

This new advance wars seemed to have came out of know were, A delicous surprise, however. I am a little concerned after seing some of the screens. I am aware that Advance wars needed a more mature audiance, and I back it 100%, but at the same time, I also realise as an artist that certain themes must be used to make certain things work, and it is my opinion that the art is suffering some. One of the reasons this game worked so well on portables is the functionality, and the charactors and vehicles utilized a certain look, not to just be as what some would call cute, but to also squeeze in as many as 7 units in a screen so you wouldnt be stuck with having hundreds of 1 on 1 battles. so in conclusion, I am a little sceptical that the art and ideas for the vehicles and charactors will be as fresh as dual strike, wich made great use of space and beautifuly simple vehicular compositions
