Lumines Live drops in price, gets new content

At least Japan is getting a confirmed price break for Lumines Live. Q Entertainment is dropping the price of the base back from 1200 Microsoft Points ($15) to 800 Microsoft Points ($10). The base pack is the core game with a handful of skins and online versus play.

If you want more skins you can pick up twenty of them in the holiday pack, which is having its debut on Wednesday, October 17th for 400 Microsoft Points ($5). Match colored blocks to new heavy metal songs and the first track from Rez.

Q Entertainment also has some free stuff planned for Japan. While it was free for a limited time in North America, gamers in Japan had to pay for the Heavenly Star Skin. From October 17 to November 15, Q Entertainment is bringing the price down to zero Microsoft Points. Also Breeze, a skin with the second single from the Genki Rockets, will be free during the same time period.

Please be advised this news is from a Japanese press release. We are waiting to hear back from Microsoft if this holds true for North America too.

Update: The bonus pack, the price drop and all of the free content is confirmed for North America too.
