I don't agree that the PSP is near it's end.
With the release of the new slim PSP, sales have gone up quite a lot, even passing the DS in Japan for a shot time. And now there are even rumors that Dragon Quest IX is going to be released on it too. Also, a new Monster Hunter game was recently announced for it. (Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G)

I think the end of the PSP is near, sadly. We're starting to see developers scale back support of it. EA has dropped some sports titles, and maybe the NFS series (the PSP version is pushed back to mid 2008 at the very least, which means they've at least dropped the PSP only NFS team). Presumably no more MHF games from Capcom despite selling incredibly well. And now Sega.

I just would like this on Wii. Also, a Sega 2-D sidescroller adventure that stars Sega characters on the DS instead of this. Still, this might be the start of new Sega crossovers, maybe even:

SEGA Superstar Smash (a 2-D Sega fighting game!)!

I'm disappointed this isn't on the PSP, as it's probably the version I would have chose...
The PSP Virtua Tennis games were pretty successful, so it would have been an obvious choice.

I want to see Alis Landale or Nei from Phantasy Star (or PSII respectively), Axe battler or Tyrus Flare from Golden Axe, Joe Musashi from Shinobi, and Axel or Blaze from Streets of Rage.

The Streets of Rage characters could call in a cop car that would launch a barrage of tennis balls at their opponent like the special assists in SOR. Golden Axe and Phantasy Star characters could use Magic or techniques, and Joe Musashi could make some sort of illusionary clone of himself.

Of course I'd just really like to see a true sequel to Phantasy Star instead of this online nonsense and a Streets of Rage sequel done right. Why tease us with just a Tennis game Sega?!
