With the release of the new slim PSP, sales have gone up quite a lot, even passing the DS in Japan for a shot time. And now there are even rumors that Dragon Quest IX is going to be released on it too. Also, a new Monster Hunter game was recently announced for it. (Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G) I don’t agree that the PSP is near it’s end.

We're starting to see developers scale back support of it. EA has dropped some sports titles, and maybe the NFS series (the PSP version is pushed back to mid 2008 at the very least, which means they've at least dropped the PSP only NFS team).
