Comments on: Pass on the classic controller, use your PS2 pad with the Wii

Shouldn’t the title rather say: Pass on the GAMECUBE controller, use your PS2 pad with the Wii. Since the peripheral doesn’t hook up with the wiimote, but the gamecube ports, it isn’t really a substitute for the classic controller…

@Pedro Silva – Good point about the older ones. I’ve never tried any of them out, but with all the NeoGeo games I’ve been looking for something like this to play fighting games with.

The Street Fighter Anniversary pads for PS2 are really easy to find and they have the same layout as the Saturn pads. Get a couple, they’re worth it. These converters are good for the SFA pads and your favorite PS2 arcade sticks that people have come quite attached to over the years.

there has been PS2 adaptaters for GC for years, I think those work with the Wii.

The GC controller is not that suited, yes, that said I dislike the Dual Shock controller too (the feel of the D-pad, the triggers) a arcade stick for those who have them, a Hori GC-SNES controller (what I use with Soul Calibur and other games) or a “Playstation Saturn controller” (a limited edition run, Sega made a while ago, with 6 face buttons) are ideal.

I wish I still could find those Sega Saturn controllers for PS2.

Neat! I’d definitely like one of these for SNK games like you said. I’ve gotten real used to my Wireless PS2 controller for Garou and KoFXI
