Sega reminds us Samba de Amigo is coming to the Wii

sambawii.jpgI’m guessing you already know about this, but Samba de Amigo is coming to the Wii. Yeah! That’s it really. More? They mentioned “new special features” and the soundtrack will include “popular new songs”. Don’t fear the pop music infusion; there will be classics form the Dreamcast version in the game too. Hopefully, Sega will keep some of the downloadable Sega themes like the stuff from Burning Rangers.

the cool thing about investing in a Wii is you get to play a bunch of old games.

Don’t fuck it up SEGA.

I’m still trying to figure out how they’re going to determine the wiimote & nunchuk’s position in 3d space. The original had the sensor on the floor; it won’t be any fun to shake if you need to point it at the screen the whole time (and besides, the nunchuk doesn’t have a pointer). It won’t work if it relies strictly on the accelerometers, since those readings go all screwy when you shake it.

C’mon Sega, where are the details?
