TV on your DS coming November 20

Sounds like great news, but this is only for Japan. The official TV Tuner from Nintendo is a one-seg tuner, which uses a digital broadcast channel designed for mobile devices. Since North America does not use the format the TV tuner won’t work even if you import it. Save your 6,800 yen ($60) for two DS games.

Also the DS tuner cannot display programs in their native 320×240 resolution, it downscales the shows to 256×192. That is on par with what plenty of people in Japan already have built in on their cell phones.
