King Dedede joins Brawl

smalldedede.jpgYesterday's Smash Bros. DOJO update featured a new character that is synonymous with anyone who's played almost any Kirby game. That's right; King Dedede, the super awesome King of Dreamland, will be joining the Smash Bros. Brawl line up and will be a heavy weight fighter in the same vein as Donkey Kong and Bowser. His special moves are Super Dedede Jump where he basically jumps high in the air and lands really hard to deliver a ground breaking blow, the Waddle Dee Toss where Dedede pulls Waddle Dees out of nowhere and throws them at his opponent with Waddle Doo and Gorodo's occassionally appearing instead of Waddle Dees, and the Jet Hammer which, when charged, delivers a fatal, heavy blow to all his opponents.

It was kind of expected to see King Dedede joining the lineup ever since Meta Knight officially appeared in the game, so its about time he was announced. Past the break are images of King Dedede in action. Alternatively, you can check out his Dojo page.

Ah, for some reason this makes me happy. Kind Dedede is not only loaded with charisma (much more than Meta Knight, I mean c’mon) but his character design is also slightly based off of the old King of Eggerland from the Lolo games! So it’s like two cameos for the price of one!
