Ninja Gaiden III coming to a virtual console near you

In awesome, but predictable news the ESRB has a rating up for Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom as a Wii game. This suggests we will be seeing Ninja Gaiden III on the North America virtual console shop relatively soon. Ryu gained a few new abilities in this, notably climbing on horizontal wires and extending his sword’s reach through power ups. However, the shadow clones from Ninja Gaiden II got the axe.

 

After Ninja Gaiden III comes out I wonder if Tecmo is going to release Ninja Gaiden Trilogy on the virtual console…
