The Idolm@ster lives for a sequel

idoll4u.jpgNamco Bandai’s ever popular Idolm@ster series is getting a second console game, The Idolm@ster Live for You. Like the first home version of the Idolm@ster, Live for You will be coming out on the Xbox 360.

Why only the Xbox 360 and not a multi-platform release? Your guess is as good as mine. Perhaps Namco Bandai feels established Idolm@ster fans already on a 360 and the first game. Maybe it’s because the engine was developed for the Xbox 360t. Or it could be because they are making tons of money through microtransactions over the Xbox Live Marketplace. Either way the Idolm@ster is staying as an Xbox 360 only property and that has to be a plus for Microsoft in Japan.

Must be microtransactions. If I had the game, I know I’ll go for it as well! Such cute costumes!

I just hope the game can stand on its own w/o the extras, and not like Beautiful Katamari not giving you stages that should be included from the beginning.
