Culdcept’s next stop is the DS (update: Sega!)

culdcept.jpgOmiya Soft’s fantasy card game meets board game mash up is heading to the Nintendo DS in 2008. No publisher has been announced, but recently Namco Bandai has taken an interest in the Culdcept series. They released Culdcept Saga on the Xbox 360 in Japan and it actually is coming over to North America on January 15, 2008 as a “budget” $39.99 game.

Update: Sega is taking care of Culdcept DS, which seems fitting since they published the original Saturn version ten years ago.

I guess “budget” games are $39.99 compared to the current going rate of $59.95 per game for next-gen titles. Yikes.
