I’m sort of out of the Nicktoons loop since I'm no longer in their target demographic, but I still have fond memories of their classics. Stuff like Ren & Stimpy, Rocko’s: Modern Life and Ahh! Real Monsters faded away years ago. Out of nowhere they are making a comeback in Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots, a video game that mashes up Nicktoons characters with a flimsy plot of saving the world. Stimpy and Rocko round out the cast of familiar to kids Nicktoon characters (read: Spongebob, Tak and Jimmy Neutron) as unlockables in THQ’s game. I never thought I would get to play as Stimpy in 3D, but here we are and that is almost* reason enough to check this out.
*I’m not really getting it even though this is quite tempting. Maybe if they threw in Ren too I’d bite.
I love Rocko! However, to get the game….? I’am with you on this one Spencer, while I like idea (for memories sake) I’am not sure I want to buy it. Oh well, its good to see kids enjoy real cartoons LOL…
Also included is GIR from Invader Zim, apparently. Hell yes!
