Introducing the Star Ocean: Eternal Edition slim PSP

By Spencer . November 2, 2007 . 4:49am

Remember how we mentioned Square-Enix is putting together a Star Ocean: First Departure PSP bundle pack? That’s the packaged PSP in the picture above. The light blue design is a nice color, but the abstract design could easily be mistaken for something else if the words “Star Ocean –Limited-” were not on the back. Besides the specially designed slim PSP you get a copy of Star Ocean: First Departure and a metallic looking PSP pouch (picture past the break) for 24,840 yen ($216)

It seems like every month there is a limited Square-Enix handheld. In the past few months a Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates DS Lite, the Crisis Core PSP and a Final Fantasy Tactics A2 DS Lite came out. With the steady stream of special edition packages it's odd that Square-Enix has not announced a Final Fantasy IV DS Lite bundle.

As far as I know, there wasn’t a special Tactics A2 DS just the Hori sticker kit. I could be wrong though.

  • Angelous

Hori has also announced a special DS Lite FF IV accesory set similiar to thier Tactics A2 set.

    Three words, Sealed, Game, Heaven.

Having a boxed SE game unit is bonkers.

This probably won’t come out of Japan, I suspect. I still need a PSP so if this doesn’t get released out of Japan I’ll definetly keep the idea of importing in mind.

Nice design. Don’t own a PSP, but still looks good. I hope a Star Ocean DS is on it’s way.

I they did make a Final Fantasty IV styled DS = YES.

The PSP looks decent, but the case looks like some sort of tampon or menstrual pad case.
