Maple Story DS tweaked for single players

By Spencer . November 8, 2007 . 1:15pm

Down from the depths of G*Star, Gamasutra (thanks Brandon!) caught some big announcements from Nexon. They have been working on a version of Maple Story for the DS and it’s slated to come out in the middle of next year for Korea. Unlike the cash-op MMO, Maple Story DS is designed as a single player action RPG.

More interesting than the Maple Story update is news about Mabinogi (pictured), a cel-shaded Korean MMO developed in 2004. Nexon is currently developing a port of it for the Xbox 360. Very surprising. There aren't any details for about an international release for either of these titles, but Maple Story DS seems like it's going to get one.

You know, the DS is capable of online play, so they could technically actually do a MMORPG on that platform, if they were so inclined to *hint hint*. The same goes for the PSP. I own both, so either way would be win-win.
