In 2006 Namco Bandai bought Banpresto as a subsidiary. For over a year Namco Bandai allowed Banpresto to do their thing even though they were wholly owned by Namco Bandai. That is about to change because the company who brought us Super Robot Taisen and Ar Tonelico is going to be dissolved into Namco Bandai starting April 1, 2008, technically Namco Bandai's next fiscal year. For the past few years Atlus has had a positive relationship with Banpresto. They localized two Super Robot Taisen games for the GBA, Magna Carta and Draglade is coming this year. Will this affect the chances of localized versions of Super Robot Taisen Original Generations for the PS2 and Ar Tonelico 2? I hope not.
This might hurt discussions between NIS and Gust/Banpresto for Ar Tonelico 2, especially since Namco Bandai has stated they’re going to focus on next-gen consoles only over the next few months.
I will eliminate the entire staff of Namco Bandai if I don’t get my damned Ar Tonelico 2. Figuratively.
I’d be really sad if NIS America couldn’t bring Ar Tonelico II over to North America because of this. :(
NOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo~! I love the tales of series but I HATE Namco Bandai! Their localizations are so old fashioned…Well so long chances of AR Tonelico 2 coming to the states…
This is bull ****. Namco Bandai of America are the worst company ever to exist in the U.S. They most definitely won’t be bringing Ar tonelico II over here that’s for damn sure. NIS America better already working on this game or we may kiss the sequel good bye…god dammit, why did Banpresto have to merge with Namco all the sudden? This is very bad news…
wtf!?!?! what you’re thinking??!?!?!
just released Ar Tonelico II you ass!!!!!!!
lol namco hometek would ruin this game. new sounds abound!
Uh oh….and if Namco hates 2d games battle systems….That could be trouble D:
